Might as well revive this thread now that the car's running again. It has literally never ran this damned good. Did a whole new fuel system front to back with 8an line, new tank, new RobbMC 1/2" pickup, RobbMC 1/2" 100 micron pre-filter, Russell 1/2" post-filter, cleaned the regulator and Carter 172 pump inside and out, rebuilt the carburetor with all new gaskets, needle/seats, etc...Float level was a little high on first start up in the rear, front is almost spot on. Not a single leak to be found. Idle was a little high, still have to tweak it a bit. The thing revs damned fast now. From a stop I'm bouncing off the 7500 governor before I know it. I can't even make it into third if I'm rolling because it spins so fast through the gears it just kicks sideways.

Not a single sputter, hesitation, nothing. Just idle to shit eating grin in .0002 seconds biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin
