Mike from Team Chevelle sent me here and I'm glad he did.

I'll get some pix up of my 67 project soon, a bit tied up at work right now. Had her since I was a Jr in Highschool. Back in 82! There's hint about my age. wink

I also have a 66 vert that's been totally restored, It's my folks car, but once I have room for it they are giving it to me. They never drive it anymore. Raspberry Metallic with a white top and black interior. All numbers matching.

Anyhoo, glad to be here, cya guys later.

Rick

Thanks Guys.

Ben did you do the aluminum pour yet? I'd be up for watching that.

Here's a few pix, going to sell my Firebird this summer and put that money into the 67. Got caught up in the LSx new muscle car game for a bit, but that's over now.

Hey rick I live in Terrace as well! I'm a noobie here too, great bunch of guys here though. I'm trying to start on my first engine build soon. Maybe we can get together sometime so i can pick your brain a little bit. I'm just learning so I can use all the help I can get.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

Hey Jason!
Been a long time bud! I need the Chevelle much more than the Firebird. Feeling nostalgic lately, pushin 50, want my baby back on the road. Call it a midlife crisis if you will. ;) Don't get me wrong, I love the Firebird, been a great car. Still hauls ass, 12 flat @ 110 and gets 25 on the highway. But she's been wrecked once and needs to be repaired again, some dingbat backed into me at a stop light. T-tops leak. It's a blast to drive, but it just sits outside all winter and really needs to be driven daily. It's a factory freak, put down 315hp and /335ft lbs at the rears bone stock when I got her and ran 13.30's bone stock with just DR's. If the damned thing didn't leak I'd really think about keeping it. Still got under 70K on the clock and runs and drives great! I gotta reach out to the Car Club guys, haven't talked to any of them for quite a while.

I have been thinking about getting a BBC to mess with for my next motor, but you'd think all the BB stuff was gold plated it's so damned expensive. Keeping my eye out for an LS motor to do next for the Chevelle instead of a BBC.

For now I need to swap the cam out, double check the diff and swap out the stall converter. I know this motor wont run on pump gas with the cam thats in it. Time for a Hydraulic Roller set up.

Seattle Chevelle,
From Mighty Mountlake Terrace! Nice, I grew up here and never left.
No problem bud, we can get together and bench race. I have some tools you can borrow too, Torque Wrenches, Calipers, Outside Mic's etc.....I might have an old toolbox with some old tools in it, it's yours if I still have it, I'll check this weekend, gotta unbury alot of stuff in my garage. I've got a lot of books too, but most are geared for small blocks.

Welcome Rick!

Sweet looking ride! I like the remote filter set up too.

Can't wait to check out the 'vert too, sounds sweet!

Sounds like we are from the same era and roughly the same area...

Shoreline High Class of '82.
I bet you cruised Lake City and Colby.... maybe hit the highschool drags and a Fox Hunt or two at SIR.

We also used to terrorize the woods where Creekside Apts and where the Ballinger Commons Apts are now. Oh, and can't forget muddin' among other things where the Embassy Suites are now.

What! Shoreline rich kids in our neck of the woods! Oh hell no! evileye

Just kiddin Greg, heck yeah, we terrorized the whole county line area. I'm only 4 blocks north of the county line and a couple blocks off 44th. We had 44th marked off for a quarter mile run starting at the county line, had guys at each end with police scanners and all of us had cb's.

What a great place to grow up, nothing like it is now population wise. Honda Hills, Emabassy suites. We used to wheel at mile high hill too, before they turned it into a quarry. And where the seattle times plant is at north creek in bothell. great area to wheel, it was all bog and swamp.

We need to get together and shoot the **** for sure, I bet we crossed paths at some point. Colby, Lake City way, Evergreen. Racing at the boeing access highway and river road. Fox Hunt's! Holy crap, forgot about those. And yeah, hit the HS drags every year.

Rumor has it, a couple of my upper classmen were responsible for shorecrests totem pole being chainsawed down as retaliation for something they did to us.

I graduated in 83 from Terrace.
