BBC is popular everywhere! I just don't have the coin to switch over to BBC yet. Maybe some day. I've always wanted to build a spec L-88 to see how much of a beast it really was back in the late 60's.

Went up to the folks house today for my dads birthday. Asked him when was the last time the 66 was started. He said he couldn't remember. I decided to go out and see if she'd fire up. After some agressive pumping of the accelerator it fired off and then sputtered and died. About 2 more tries and it fired up and idled away. Backed it out and took a quick walk around vid of it running on my phone.

Thanks guys. It is pretty sweet, needs some TLC though. Powersteering pump is loose or one of the brackets are loose, you can see it shaking at idle. Needs a tune up. The heater core is bypassed. HVAC controls are shot. Shift linkage is brutal to operate. That's about it though.

My folks had it restored about 15 years ago. Probably had less than 2K miles put on it since then. They never drive it. If I had the damned room for it, it'd be mine right now.

Soon as the weather changes for our 3 months of summer, I'm picking that baby up and fixing what needs fixing and putting some miles on it.

Hey guys, damn, been a rough time since i last checked in. Had some serious health issues to deal with, down to 126lbs from 185. Finally got the garage cleared out last weekend and will be moving my chevelle over to a friends place so it can go on his spare lift and i can go work on it whenever i want.

Hope all is well with y'all and hope you guys have been tearing up the track this summer! I'll pop back in a few days when i have more time and see how everybody's doing.

Thanks guys!

Was misdiagnosed for years. come to find out im a Celiac. Which is a severe intolerance to wheat, oats, rye, barley etc.... Basically when I ingest gluten or wheat products my body produced anitbodies that attack and eat my intestines from the iniside out. Was very close to death had I not found a fantastic naturopathic doctor. Fucking Group Death was almost the death of me. But that's another story and I still get furious about their lack of knowledge and horrible diagnosis'. Going to be a couple years until my intestines rebuild. Taking a fist full of pills 3x a day and am on steriods to try and get weight on me. And it aint working. But I do have an honest 6pack of abs now! LOL

The bad thing is all the gluten free food is 4x normal, what used to cost me 50 bucks at the grocery store now costs me 200 bucks. Cuts into my car budget. Oh well, could be worse, could be pushin up daisies! ;)

Rick,

Glad to hear they got it figured out. A close friend of mine has a similar story to yours, as well. In the end it all boiled down to some severe food allergies. I've been keeping an eye out for gluten free stuff, found quite a bit at good ole fred meyer. Our local one was even carrying gluten free beer! Hang in there and glad you'll be around shooting the $hit with us awhile longer
