New Addition in the Shop!

No its not another car.  I've been looking for a high quality used lift to come up for sale and one in North Bend recently showed up on craigslist.  Its a Bendpak XPR-10c 10k.  I would have liked a wider one but realistically this fits in the shop better.  Should work nicely!  Just picked it up today and got the posts raised up.  Hoping to finish it up over a few nights this week.

You can come use it.  I've done a lot of side jobs now and I'm getting tired of pulling transmissions or doing exhaust on my back. It should make jobs a lot easier.

Great tool. I really miss being a full time mechanic and being able to use the shop hoists anytime I liked.

Very nice, not search CL for a good trans jack and a couple screw jacks. Harbor freight has good oil catch cans for use under lifts.

I dont know what I would do without a lift now adays! Once you have one you can never go back. Bend Pac Ranger has good deals on quality trans jacks and support jacks ect.....

Looks like all my photo bucket pics are broken. I'm done using that crappy site.

Anyway, put together a 4 post lift in the shop yesterday. Will mostly be storage but should come in handy for oil changes and things. Guy who stores a 57 handyman wagon with me asked if I had room for another car. I didn't really have room, but with a lift I do! I don't think a 2 post is safe enough for storage plus I need access to it to do work.  Should be able to pay it off in about 15 months of storage.

Its a Danmar 7k.  Not the best lift in the world but should be just fine.  Car under the blue cover is a 67 mustang vert I store for a guy, usually Sept-March.  When its gone during the summer I have tables there.  Its on dollys in order to get it into the center.  Nice to have the income but some day I would like to just have the space.
