There's just something about a 68/69 camino setup for the strip.
Looked like fun. Love the nova!

Cool video Darren, I hope to have my car ready next year. I like how the cars had a real street aspect to them unlike the Hot Rod Drag Week.

Thanks Jason!
This event is focused on real street driven cars like your Chevelle.
There will always be a car that outguns the field but we hope to separate them by classes for 2016.

Good looking group of cars. Very cool event.

I always have respected cars that can race and travel between events on the street. Was some of your group hauled between events or did you have to drive them?

What was the time range between the cars ( E.T. )?

What classes are you planning for next year?

The only way you would be in contention for the crown was if you drove from the start of the event at Woodburn to the finish at Bremerton.
For 2016 we are planning a street tire class (non drag radial) for the true street vehicles, your average BF Goodrich radial t/a or GT Qualifier type tire and then a drag tire type class.
Cars will still have to run on the tires they tech in on and make the drive between chosen tracks.

Cars ranged from 9.50's to 13.70's IIRC with the majority of people running 11's & 12's.

Clarification on the last part please...does that mean you have to drive track to track and race with those same tires?  That pretty much disqualifies stick cars with true slicks if so....I'm not going to buy drag radials just because.

Yes, tires teched in on were what were run for the event this year. That keeps the spirit of the streetability alive.
4-5 cars drove the event on their slicks and an ET Street or QuickTime Pro will still be DOT legal.

Well I guess I'm out, not buying another set of new tires and not risking getting a ticket....

You have plenty of time to change your mind and 2016 will probably be D.O.T. tires only to keep the spirit of the event.

Not since the first couple of passes, hopefully this Friday if the people that administrate the track have their heads out of their asses.  I do have some data points for tuning to start off with so at least that's something.

Thanks George!
We may open it up to tire swaps at the track but if so all tires/tools/jack to do swap must be carried in the car from track to track.
That keeps it closer to the roots of the streetcar at the track.
