Its like going to the zoo, interesting to look at but only for short periods of time.  I do miss the PNW though, a lot.

Full of liberals, government assistance, homos & socialists.

Most normal people can't get used to it.

Finally decoded the trim tag of what I hadn't already pinpointed. Original color was Mulsanne Blue and it had a black vinyl top installed. Body build date was the 4th week of the month, June 26th 1970...pretty late build date, maybe why the big spoiler was on there?? Black standard interior, was wondering since black paint is flaking off and showing green underneath the rear plastic pieces.

Heading back to the junkyard tomorrow to get the core charge back for the rear and find door hinges, a piece of non-scratched driver door glass. After that, a trip down to Biscay's for sheetmetal...

Thank you. Taking Katie's Dad Gary down with me today, show him what's available aftermarket for his '67....this should be entertaining.

Scored 4 tight door hinges and a pristine driver side door glass after getting my rearend core charge back and getting rid of those hideous Cragar wheels that came on the GTO.

All the sheetmetal is home now in the garage and Gary bought 2 books...a 1967 Chevelle factory assembly manual(which I also have) and a numbers book that I've not seen before. He was impressed with the amount of stuff there at Biscay's.

Decoded the junkyard 8.5" rear yesterday afternoon. Originally a 1978 264th day 2nd shift "PM" stamping 3.23 Open rear, deciphering this as for the 1979 model year given the disc brakes. Has the GM gears from Detroit with the pinion head stampings.
Looks like someone spent a bit of money at one point and then the car sat or was wrecked because the disc brake pads are practically new and this is the cleanest, most surface rust free housing I've had yet....stamping numbers clear as day.

Has 12-41 stamped on the pinion face, counted the teeth prior to seeing that...3.42s and posi added. Thinking the discs are original to the rear for a '79. Curious if it's a 28 or 30 spline assembly...I may get time this weekend to do some stuff.

should be a 28 spline, don't believe anything stock for pass cars in the era came with 30 spline in the 8.5's

George--- Guessing you mean it has coarse threads for bolt-on yoke caps????  Dunno, never had one of those(could be metric 200-4R or 700R4?)....Just remembered I do have a SHORT TH400 forged(I think) yoke W/1350 u-joint size missing caps though and it's open(no plug for splines) on the driveshaft side...just saw it yesterday.

Darryl--- Was thinking that also...the posi has a window on both sides and looks sketchy to me with an "S" spring instead of coil springs.  Definitely needs some upgrades.  I remember you mentioning machining a steel carrier bearing cap for Greg's 12 bolt...thinking I should install one(maybe 2) for this 8.5"; not sure if Bill Scribner would offer that service, would you?

Entertained an interested buyer yesterday for the 283/TH350, owner Daryl of The Hot Rod Shop in Edgewood..going into a '37 Chevy I was told.  Took both out as a unit today with minimal mess(yayyy!!!!).  Will deliver tomorrow and check out his shop.

Also removed in addition to the radiator and flat hood/hinges:  2 air shocks, fuel tank, rear tail lamp harness, front lamp harness and engine harness, 2 bees nests I knew were there and active under the front valance.  I have more to remove but I also loaded the car on the trailer for the VIN inspection on Wednesday and made time for dinner and a drive in the GTO.

Talking with Daryl(buyer of the 283/TH350) today he mentioned seeing the car again at the Monroe swap meet. Apparently it sold 2-3 years ago there, with shiny paint and no engine or transmission for $3,500. I forgot to mention I found the build sheet on top of the gas tank yesterday....too bad it's mostly dust and illegible.
