I was way off... only $37k. LOL.

Man those wheels they put on are UGLY. Was better with the ones you had on it. If they were changing, should have put the correct pontiac ones on it....

I agree, I hate those wheels on it.

Well, more than likely they haven't done the headwork in that short period of time, and some other things that need attention.  Also several things in the ad are erroneous which is misleading.

I'd be entertained if any one of you went and test drove it for fun.  I can tell you what to look for and if things have been done/replaced that would go towards garnering that price they have.  I built the car to be a driver, not a show car and was at the end of how far I wanted to take it.  Buyer beware.

Those are the same wheels I have on my Chevelle. I must admit they don't look good on the GTO.
The car looks good other than that, you do nice work Mike.

Dealers have access to buyers that individual sellers do not... Rich people with money to burn who are across the country (or world).
Just like with Dan's car- those people will pay a premium for the same car from a dealer (that they feel like they can trust) vs a random person.

Funny thing is the opposite is true, but the dealer does have shipping connections, financing connections, better photos (they put it up on a lift, and its in a pretty showroom). That all adds up to convenience for people with deep pockets.

Thats the only way all those places manage to stay in business. Its not because the cars are all amazing (well some are)... its because buyers feel more comfortable buying from them than seeking out an individual seller, having to go to their home.

Sucks for individual sellers, but i have to believe thats the reason, and the way they manage to stay in business.

Its the same reason that mecum and the other auctions that now go from state to state are so successful. Individuals can clean up their car and put it across the block in a professional setting- mecum (or whoever) takes a premium chunk off the buyer and seller for the convenience- but they do help line up transport, etc etc.

Remind Me once I get the Velle running. I'll drive down in it and ask to test drive it.

I will, I'll send you a list of the stuff that needs attention.  You are the perfect guy to give them shit.

Sounds good to me, whatever you feel like doing...it should be fun whatever you decide. Guy was a bit arrogant for showing up at 8:45 p.m. in the first place.

Ha! I remember that, that was when I had to come down and represent your dumb ass for getting picked for male prostitution. At least they let your wear an Orange jumpsuit, not that stupid cheerleader outfit you were wearing.
