Sweet! $1200 for a crate engine? That's pretty fair. I assume its a 200 hp stocker? Does it just come as a long block or is it dressed?

It was a long block with pan and timing cover. High volume oil pump, 1.92 intake valves and a comp cams 268 cam.

I had to supply valve covers and intake, etc.

had a comp xe 268 in i think... should be a little better than a goodwrench i'd think. 275-300ish. Sounds good with the flowmaster 40's.

Don't think it'll ever be spinning those giant balloons out back though unless they are sitting in a pool of oil

Looks very nice! Maybe I should go this route when the 350 in my truck craps out. Sort of want to build it though.

So what is the plan with the truck now?

That's the same crate engine that's in my rusty C10. Except mine has a lame single plane manifold.
Nice work Eric, it's such a cool truck!

I have a few tasks to complete, then I am thinking I may try and sell it.

I need to put side mirrors, seat belts, etc.
