I had an esophagram done for a stomach problem, from there, things went south.

They found several large nodules on My Thyroid, and a lot of "static" below in the lymph nodes below. Cat scan, Ultrasound, and a needle biopsy were done.

Came back as Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma. Not the worst thing in the world, but the major concern is what is going on below in the lymph nodes. I found out today that on the 8th of September I will under go surgery to remove My Thyroid and take samples of the lymph nodes. My Dr. and the ENT Oncologist said they are really not concerned about the Thyroid, it is the lymph nodes that they are concerned about.

Thyroid, just cut it out and go on Thyroid meds, no problem. Talking about the lymph nodes, Everyone got really quiet.

I don't know, while there is never really a good time in life to be diagnosed with cancer, this is something I really didn't need right now.

So there it is, it'll all buff out in the end I know, I just wanted to let you guys know.

I've been doing that for almost two years now, IDK, really what We did not need, due to prior events in life, I'm down to about 3 cylinders, and the bearings are going fast on them.

But Thank You.

Ugh sorry Dave. I agree stay positive and we're here for you. We've missed you. Do they think your excessive masturbation could have anything to do with this?

I have faith the doctors can tune you back into at least small block power. With some nitrous injection and support from friend and family you will blow right past this.

Keep faith in recovery and enjoy the little things. We're pulling for you!!

No, they consulted with your Dr.'s and said that I was nowhere near the levels you have achieved. They did raise concern that You may have sucked me dry so hard, so many times, it might have caused My Thyroid to explode.

Not sure about all the homoerotic stuff, BUTT.....

I had thyroid problems a year and a half ago. Some swollen lymph nodes. Had surgery to remove it and thankfully it came back as a benign tumor. Killed my thyroid chemically and on medication to regulate it. It was a pain in the ass, but in all I'm glad that I know instead of waiting to find out. I hope and pray yours is just a big a pain in the ass and just as benign...

All the best. Keep us up to date.

Trust me, to be really honest, this whole deal with the cancer, hasn't really bothered me. I am so "broken" by some other shit right now, the cancer is kind of a good distraction.confuse Yeah, try that one on for size.

Thank You to all, I appreciate the well wishes, I have a pre-op meeting with the ENT and others today, will post up if there is anything worthwhile.

Well, next Thursday it comes out. So, as told to me Today, they will test the nodules on the thyroid for the papillary thing, test the lymph nodes as well. Most likely do a round or two of Iodine Radiation and this "should" be taken care of.

"Should" be, I hope so.
