Stripped all the rust and paint off the roof.. that was a lot of work.... I should of had this car blasted.

I used 80 grit on a DA sander to knock off all the paint, the sand paper would hardly touch the rust..I used Kleen strip prep n etch phosphoric acid to clean the remaining rust out of he pits.. I spent 2 days doing this... I asked around on a Facebook autobody page I follow and this seemed like the best route to take.

Wow that's nice. A shit ton of work but now you know. This will be a nice solid car. I wish I did this with the 66 but I was lazy and didn't want to know what was there..

Thanks guys. I plan to get the roof completely cleaned up and epoxy primed before I move on.. it hurting me to see all that rusty metal!

Looks awesome like this though- You should just metal strip the whole thing and clear coat it! Looks like a Delorean!
