Heading that way soon! Should be a great day for a car show!

I hope to see some of you out there!

The Arlington show yesterday was huge! More cars than I have ever seen there.

The weather held out and was mostly overcast but had some sunbreaks and not a drop of rain!

I had at least 25 guys take pictures of the for sale sign I had up and one very solid full price offer. The guy was scrambling to get some cash to give me a down payment but he was not planning on or looking for a car till he saw mine. Local Arlington guy who begged me not to sell it till Monday when he can get cash from the bank. I told him if somebody hands me 20k cash I am not turning it down but other than that I wont take money to hold it till after Monday so he has a shot.

Guess I should have asked $24,000 confuse I was amazed how many people loved the color?!?!?!?!?

I guess anything other than red or black looks interesting these days. Terry really did not like the color when I had it painted but due to the green interior I was kinda stuck and I didnt want to change everything. I have always really liked it and the dark forest green pearl in the clear and the black on the stripes really makes it pop in the sun!

I hate selling it and I know I am going to kick myself later for it but what momma wants momma gets and its her car.

I guess congrats then on getting very close to a sale. That's a nice clean car and I really do like the color.

Any pics? My HS buddy won something with his 66 Malibu. I remember him saying "someday Grandmas car will be mine" he is taking care of it like she did.

Car is sold pending funds on Wednesday. I got my $20,000 asking price and the new owner is paying me to put new rear brakes and control arms and a rear sway bar on it.

He asked me what would first on my upgrade list and I said the above items then he asked me how much to have me take care of those?

It is going to a Boeing guy who is retiring in a few weeks and he wanted a finished toy for nice summer days.
