Here's the plugs. 

Also just checked and floats were at about 1/2". Almost no flow through the qjet filter either. Going to fix those and try again.

Plugs look pretty good.
Try putting the float level close to the highers spec. maybe that's all you need before you drill the jets.

Got the carb back together and exhaust leak fixed. Waaaaaay better. 

But, I removed the filter in the carb, changed the inline filter, raised the floats, found out the hangar for the primary rods was really bent so straightened it. Not sure what of all that made the difference, but it's a lot better. Now there's a slight stutter when you mash the pedal, but I can live with that for now.
