The CL thread Mike posted a 66 Chevelle wagon sure made me miss mine.

I bought mine from the original owner, nice guy who wanted an SS396 but wife said no, we need a wagon. So he special ordered a 275 HP 327 4 speed 3.08 posi w/knee knocker tach, gauge dash. Tach was long gone when I got it and turned out the block was cracked. Installed a 390HP 427 and hacked the floor (I was young then) for a V-gate shifter. I never worked the bugs out and ended up parting it, selling what was left to a scrap guy who never scrapped it. I saw it parked in a Chevelle friends yard a few years later.

My picture? That Dart was a low mile 1967 GT was my DD in the late eighties. The SS396 (leaving) was a parts car for my vert. The Dart was really nice but since this is a Chevelle site I'll post my other SS396 parts car.

Don't really miss the 300D, rare but beat.

and my other wagon. attachment0Y6UNO5J.jpgattachmentBINB0VXP.jpg
