sold my other chevelle

I have been thinking about selling my other chevelle for a while now.  I just cant see having 2 68's once I get my other car finished.  And my convertible just has so many little things that needed fixed I couldn't really enjoy it.  And I have enough trouble finding time to work on my coupe.    I am heading down to Mecum this week in Vegas.  So I was thinking it would be fun to go down in search of something else.  So I put my chevelle on Craigslist Friday on a whim.  I was surprised at how many emails I got.  The first guy that came and looked at it Saturday bought it.  I put it on a trailer and dropped it off to him Saturday night down in Kent.  I still cant actually believe I sold it.  But he is going to make it his winter project.  I think it will be cool to see it out on the road next summer in tip top shape. This should make the auction a little more interesting.

Congrats! You should have posted it here first! Maybe could have gone to a tcnw guy. Maxim should be fun. I hope to go to Barrett Jackson for first time in January.

Not many ‘68 convertibles around, not too surprising it went fast. Must have priced fairly too, hope he shows up here and we can watch it’s progress.
Never been to a Mecuum event, went to BJ in 2000 in Phoenix and it was awesome. I didn’t stick around for the auction part, was there a few days before the event, walking around checking out the cars and bs’ing with the owners. Lots of cool stuff

I was going to post it here too. I couldn't find any good pictures on my computer. I was going to back it out Saturday morning and take some good pics. It just sold before I could take any. I got what I thought was a fair price for it. It really did need a lot of work. I haven't driven it in over a year. I just got it running again last week. We took it for a spin around the block and the rear brakes were smoking bad. Made a deal for the car, then noticed the car smoking under the hood. The positive cable melted to the exhaust. It shorted the battery and completely melted the lead connectors off the battery. I thought for sure the deal was dead right there. Took me all afternoon to get it running again. Then I had to trailer it down to Kent since the brakes were toast. But they only made 108 SS convertibles in Canada. So you would be hard pressed to find another one if you were looking.
