What kind of "something isn't right"? I don't have one but curious to learn something. My inital thought is maybe there's trash in an injector or maybe injector is bad originally....or a wire connection is bad/loose.

i bought the 950 new in 2004.was on my K5 wheeler until 2014 with zero issues.but the tune was never right because i parted ways with the gal that owned the laptop used for tuning. the K5 engine and 950 setup is now in my 67 gmc.the 950 sat unused from 2014-2016. it has several problems with runability.random stalling, some times so rich it fouls the plugs. sometimes runs well. changing the cold start parameters doesnt seem to do anything,it should have a cold idle of 12-1400rpms...it wont idle cold or stay running for that matter when its cold...it was running in spring of 2016..i have been messing with it since then...i have checked and rechecked everything a few times now...im pretty done wasting time on this setup now...you could be right...

What about sending it(throttle body unit) back to Holley to have them check/disassemble/clean it out? Maybe they can flow test the injectors also and test everything on a machine, and calibrate it

thanks...i have a plan..i have considered all the costs involved with sniper VS FITECH VS just swapping a 5.3 in there.the current engine isnt exactly fresh...it puffs a bit of blue when starting, and on deceleration. and i dont like that.so what im gonna do is find a cheap holley 600 and HEI and run with that for now.while i collect parts to do the LS swap.at least i can drive it and know it will get me there and back..this way i can move forward with getting the rest of the truck finished.and probably swap the ls this coming winter.
